Take charge of a payments acquiring and commerce cloud-based platform from a technology perspective; a platform that has been in beta for a year with 50 odd merchants and now moving to the next stage of its journey
Architect and Design high performance systems with high TPS (Transactions Per Second) with large data storage to serve Mobile-first, API-first, Developer-first, Cloud-Based, platform
Focus on producing a modular and flexible design that meets the business requirements
Apply best practices to improve engineering standards, coding, impact analysis, tooling, security and processes
Identify and implement short and long-term strategy requirements in terms of technological growth
Make assessment considering pros/cons of design changes
Provide oversight and approval of all final deliverables before formal delivery/launch
Prepare report in business language for supervisors outlining achievements of milestones and short-term execution goals
Required Skill Set:
Experience in end-to-end design of high throughput, micro-services-based system
Experienced in coding and development activities in the past and understands how to Solution, architect, build and integrate custom payment solutions across cards, wallets, faster payments, cross border payments and corporate payments.
Ability to carry conversations and defend solutions with senior technology stakeholders like CTO, Chief Solution Architecture, Risk & Cyber team at clients.
Ability to understand broad requirements/expectations and leverage experience to detail out the appropriate payment solutions to meet the client expectations
Experience in working with the latest technologies in developing next generation backend and front-end solutions.
Experience in hiring, building & managing teams to deliver complex implementation projects
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience in leading sales initiatives including building proposals, responding to RFP, creating demos / PoCs
Experience in system design for high scalability and availability
Experience in container and orchestration technologies like Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience in Terraform
Knowledge of application and network security
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and/or AWS CodeBuild
Knowledge of payment gateways, POS and payment acquiring would be preferred
Familiarity with big data (like Hadoop) and streaming data (like Apache Storm) would be wonderful
