Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior HR Manager from the EPC, Telecom, Engineering Industry to join and lead our Human Resources department.
Senior HR Manager responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process, designing company policies and setting objectives for the HR team. You will also help shape our employer brand strategy. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, talent management and policy structuring.
Ultimately, you will ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support use of HRMS in the organization
  • Attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts
  • Serves as key change manager for initiatives that have high employee impact
  • Develops strategy (in collaboration with Talent manager) relating to hiring practices; consults with talent manager on compensation, benefits, etc
  • Remains knowledgeable in the internal and external compensation and work competitive environments.
  • Leads the planning of the hourly employee total compensation strategy.
  • Champions the communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, policies, etc.
  • Participates in quarterly internal equity analysis; reviews internal equity reports and surface issues needing resolution.
  • Creates and implements total compensation management packages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards business priorities.
  • Assists/Supports in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills, as needed
  • Payroll Management
  • Ensures attendance by all new hires and participation of the leadership team in training programs
  • Look after the Legal matters – including but not limited to attending hearings, and others:
  • Ensures employee files contain required employment paperwork, proper performance management and compensation documentation, are properly maintained and secured for the required length of time.
  • Ensures medical records are maintained in a separate, secure and confidential medical file.
  • Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job
  • Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels (e.g., develops daily communications)
  • Conducts and Partners with others to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary.
  • Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position – Support in managing sensitive employee situations and to review instances of employee misconduct, including investigating and recommending disciplinary action.
  • Assists and Supports the selection/non-selection and offers processes to ensure proper procedures are followed (e.g., valid reasons for selection/non-selection and applicants receive status notifications).
  • All Activities related to recruitment, induction, retention, exit are in the scope. Also, background checks and other activities are included
  • Roll out various programs targeting employee retention / engagement
  • Attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts
  • Identifying employees who are at risk and ensure recommendations are made to manage attrition
  • Analyses and understands the business and talent challenges of India
  • Makes viable talent and leadership strategy and action plans
  • Create talent management activities and annual learning & development calendar: Conceptualizes or suggests relevant, value-adding workshops
  • Career development and succession planning activities
  • Is aware of the latest trends in leadership development in the market and shares relevant ideas that are global
  • ERP – Gives guidance on talent metrics to be measured and reported
  • Supports the MD in achieving the HR strategic goals for the region
  • Work on special projects as identified by senior management
  • Keeps updated with the latest trends and developments related to learning, development and talent management field

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent technology skills
  • Comfortable in a high demand, fast paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapid changes gracefully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Extremely Detail-Oriented
  • Excellent knowledge of Labour Law and practice in India

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹40,000.00 – ₹60,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Performance bonus
  • Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kasba Industrial Estate, Kolkata – 700107, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
