Finance Solutions -Manager(Financial Accounting/O2C)

Our rapidly-growing Finance solutions team supports many of the firm’s leading clients in various elements of client finance functions, including Financial Control (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger), Financial Planning & Analysis, Taxation and Treasury. We are a team of finance professionals who deliver bespoke and standard finance solutions to our clients on an insourced, outsourced or co-sourced basis
The successful candidate will work within the Finance Solutions team, an operational team made up of Finance professionals working for a wide range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for tasks, processes or entities in the area of Financial Accounting & Closing which includes solving of problems and response to ad hoc queries for assigned areas.
• Completing a subset of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts including the full ownership of assigned accounts, deals or processes incl. ledger entries, reconciliation and substantiation.
• Adhering to closing timelines, accounting policies and controls.
• Ensuring the effectiveness of Financial Accounting & Closing processes by proposing improvements to own tasks and processes.
• Work collaboratively to drive ideas/solutions with peers and managers which will improve Client and PwC’s efficiency.
• Developing close relationships with key stakeholders
• Managing your own workload, including reporting on progress and issues
• Developing the ability to be agile and support a range of client/projects
• Be able to implement and adapt to new or changing processes quickly.
• Proactively build relationships with all team members within PwC including engagement with client teams as well as customers of our clients.

Requirements

• Accounting /Finance Degree or equivalent 2.1 or above.(CA Qualified)
• Over 3 years relevant experience in Financial Accounting including various elements of a clients finance function .

• Self motivated and independent
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines demonstrates basic analytical skills Demonstrates commercial awareness in daily service provision within own area of responsibility.
• Good communication skills (English) written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• Self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to work without supervision
• Attention to detail and high-quality standards of processes and control environment

Desirable

• Experience in Insurance /Reinsurance industry
• Knowledge of US GAAP
