Why this role matters-

Our team is responsible for data quality across the Global Services organisation. We own all aspects of DQ and ultimate responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of all 3rd party access inventory across Global Services along with validation of supplier invoice for payments and timely payment.

The role requires the person to manage 3rd party access/voice inventory and doing invoice validation at a regional level for complete and accurate commercial inventory for one or more legal entities (GFR).

What You’ll Be Doing- Your Accountabilities

  • Involve in Analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of code on various server like Prod, test, dev.
  • Run monthly reconciliations reports using Oracle DB.
  • Provide support and resolve issue from backend DB.
  • Design, code, test and deliver automation projects for Telco Inventory.
  • Run invoice process to send upload file to STARS during team member absent to avoid late payment charges to BT
  • Address Queries/all requirements for invoice/SQL module
  • Get Involved in design for voice account roll out in STARS
  • Prepare & share High level discrepancy, YTD and suspense Reports for all countries for different stakeholders
  • Ensure a robust and repeatable process for monthly data transformation and updating of inventory and invoice data
  • Performing quality checks as per the laid down business rules to ensure data accuracy for all changes
  • High level Query and issue handling for the entities on STARS
  • Improving the productivity of data processing without hampering the quality of work using automation and optimizing on resource usage
  • Resolve any issues raised by country Finance Team, Inventory teams, AP team, STARS upload team and Invoice validation teams
  • Plan 100% backup to ensure smooth functioning of the process
  • Gap analysis of data received from In country whenever it is deviates with defined format or specified list of values
  • Acknowledge all queries timely and resolution of discrepancies within TAT accurately and appropriately.
  • Process improvement and adherence to the quality standards.

    • Should be able to write formulas.

  • Oracle DB
    • Should be able to write SQL Queries.
    • Should be able to code in PL/SQL.
    • Should have knowledge about stored procedures, functions and views.
    • Should have knowledge about SQL Developer.
  • SharePoint knowledge will be beneficial.
  • Toughness – need to be sting but fair in discussions with supplier.

Other skills beneficial for the role are:

  • Good knowledge of BT order processes (specifically local processes that do not use order systems)
  • Good knowledge of Telco products and inventory data
  • Good knowledge of BT internal trading processes and rules
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts e.g., accruals, cost allocation.
