Key responsibilities:
- Communicates on regular basis with supervisor on both achievements and areas of concern.
- Actively manages the performance of the site employees and takes appropriate action when necessary
- Develops site employees by improving their skills through training and broadened experience. Improvement of teams skills, utilising the best skills of the employees for different kind of projects, increasing employee productivity
- Ensures site productivity by optimizing employee allocation based on their skills and interests
- Fosters innovation on the site
- Recommends additional resources for timely delivery of respective projects
- Coordinates with Global Managers on all the above elements to ensure consistency across Darts-ip activities
- Monitors and manages incoming work requests (using YouTrack) around ingestion, analysis, and curation of ancillary data
- Work with individual teams to set up and implement optimal processes
- Monitors project progress and take corrective action when necessary to ensure timely project delivery.
- Communicates with internal clients to ensure clarity around priorities and goals for entire projects; plan, direct and delegate accordingly
- Analyses periodical reports (quality, weekly, others) from supervisors and provide guidance when appropriate
- Reports on regular basis with internal customer on project statuses
- Ensures the Kolkata site has access to the relevant and appropriate up-to-date information.
- Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire project, planning, directing and delegating the work
- Works on developing efficiencies through automation or process improvement
- To ensure all the projects are up and running and to check with higher managers on a regular basis for any issues
- Improving and expanding within the existing projects. Share ideas in automating different projects to make them more efficient
- Closely working with tableau and different tools and to make sure the projects are in line with the vision and mission of Clarivate, identifying the gaps and solve them on a regular basis.
- Information Bearer: To ensure the team has sufficient and up-to-date information. Interface between local office and global offices (in addition to the supervisors). Interface between local HR and Kolkata team
- Increasing efficiency while reducing cost. Working on budget and optimizing them based on different projects. To calculate input, output, Quality, Cost, Attrition, performance, efficiency, Utilisation and capacity.
- Co-ordinating with HR on a daily basis for different kind of issues, leave and attendance management, recruitment, compliance etc.
- To retain talent and keep attrition rate as low as possible
- Listening to the colleagues and managing the grievances
- To ensure all backfills are closed in less than 4 weeks.
- To organize training session, onboarding.
- Timesheet checks
- Colleague engagement and improving the colleague engagement scores.
- Co-ordinating with social committee team for different activities.
Eligibility & Skills
- Based in Kolkata or willingly to relocate (being close to the team is a must)
- Minimum 7 years working experience in a similar job position (Project Management, HR, Operations Management)
- Proficiency in English (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Tools, in particular Microsoft Excel (required)
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property law (preferred)
- Good interpersonal skills
