Position Overview:

The General Manager – Technical and Production will play a pivotal role in overseeing our manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest quality standards. This position requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in alloy steel production and a strong focus on quality processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet targets for alloy steel billets and rolled products, prioritizing quality at every stage.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

Quality Assurance:

• Lead initiatives to enhance quality control processes, implementing best practices and standardized procedures throughout production.
• Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Maintenance Oversight:

• Establish and manage a proactive maintenance schedule to ensure equipment reliability and operational excellence.
• Coordinate maintenance checks and repairs to minimize downtime while upholding quality integrity.

Data Management:

• Ensure accurate data collection and assessments related to production quality metrics, enabling informed decision-making.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Inventory and Stock Management:

• Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock management and material availability, focusing on quality sourcing.
• Implement best practices for materials handling and storage to prevent quality degradation.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team with a strong emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of quality consciousness and collaboration across departments.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, particularly in relation to quality management.
• Promote a robust safety culture within the plant, aligning safety practices with quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
