The WEB Center of Excellent (WEB CoE) under Corporate Services is looking for a dynamic and open-minded individual to join us as a Lead System Engineer. You will be part of a global team together with the IFS Global business process owners and technical team. we develop multidisciplinary and customer-driven web-based solutions driving towards a scalable and agile solution for the future.

As a Lead System Engineer, you will be expected to work alongside the Business system analyst to understand stake holder’s business and functional objectives and translate them to a technical solution to deliver values to the customers. On top of that, you will be working with Lead/Senior Engineers to solve technical challenges and apply solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

• Participate in internal and customer/prospect-facing technical discussions, product presentations, and demonstrations.
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions to uncover business processes and functional requirements and document those as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of knowledge of all products and services including roadmaps and regular liaison with Management and Business.
• Actively participating in communication with stakeholders to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.
• Translate technical and business requirements into a customer-focused value-centric solution.
• Applying the best engineering and architectural concepts to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshooting software defects of large-scale, complex web-based applications mainly based on Sitecore.
• Analyzing technical faults, evaluating technical configuration, and handling integrations of the public-facing Web sites and portals as per the IFS support offerings. These websites are hosted on both on-prem and in the Cloud.
• Provide support to resolve customer incidents and fulfill customer requests.
• Ensuring product performance and maintainability by adhering to IFS standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.
• Making every effort possible to complete assignments within the constraints of time and scope.
• Having an advanced understanding of how to create and maintain configurations.
• Being familiar with integration technologies and standards used in the industry. Ability to understand complex integrations between IFS Solutions and external systems for development and troubleshooting.
• Being skilled at Azure Cloud Services and Sitecore PaaS solutions.
• Having an excellent understanding of Cloud and IFS On-prem hosted installations.
• Gain the knowledge of specific IFS Processors, products, and services.
• Lead technical team to diagnose and resolve complex technical faults.
• Support technical team together with Business team to perform advanced deployments of the services.
• Taking the lead on own assignments and Working within teams with the ability to adopt a leadership role where necessary.

• Actively help peers to complete assignments on time.

• University Degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, Networking or equivalent professional qualifications.
• At least eight years of experience with track record in working with Enterprise Grade Software and Cloud based solutions.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Azure PAAS & IAAS Services.
• Experience of configuring Azure VM, App Services, SQL Databases, App Gateways, Web Access Firewall, Fort Door, Traffic Manager, CDN, Network Security, SSL and Monitoring and Troubleshooting via Azure App Insights and Diagnosis Tools.
• Very Good knowledge and working experience of Sitecore PAAS architecture and experience with Sitecore SXA – Troubleshoot Issues, Configurations, and Installations.
• Working experience of Oracle DB, My SQL, MS SQL Servers, IIS, and Apache environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows Web Server configuration and Web hosting.
• Working knowledge of FTPS/SFTP Server configuration.
• Agile work concepts and basics of ITIL are added advantage.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with a service mindset
• The capability of working in a distributed team set up with European time Zone shift – On Demand.
• Strong interest in learning and implementing new technologies.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes·
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Occasional after-hours support is required on an as-needed basis along with off hour work for planned maintenance activities.
• Microsoft Azure Administration exams are added advantage.
