Job Description

This role will support the entire setting up of IFS India together with the senior leadership from design to delivery. This involves initially defining the structure and roles, recruiting the senior team and driving the recruitment agenda while also setting up the overall operation and HR team. It is pivotal that this role set up all the HR polices and processes that refers to India and in line with the global HR polices and processes. This role will require to support the facilities team on all the initial setting up of the operation from an employee benefit and wellbeing perspective. Further, driving the IFS culture across IFS India is an essential element. IFS is a global company so this role will also play a part within a global team and will represent the India theatre within HR. Post set up the individual may take on global projects from time to time as part of future development.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the global HR team to define and implement the Human Resource Management Strategy, Policies, Processes and Practices leveraging best practice globally and from within India.
  • Align IFS India Human Resource Strategy with overall IFS Business & People Strategy.
  • Lead and drive the initial recruitment agenda and set up the organization.
  • Collaborate with the facilities/support team to set up the relevant office facilities and focus on the current & future employee benefits.
  • Bring in the relevant benchmarking to identify the compensation and benefits plans to suit IFS India which are aligned with global policies and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance in the areas of Legal, Health and Safety, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations as per the Indian regulations.
  • Take the lead to build IFS brand reputation among public, IT & BPO industry, universities, education sector etc. Find creative and innovative avenues for brand awareness and actively work with internal stakeholders (local and global) and with external institutes.
  • Be a role model of IFS culture and create the same IFS culture in India with collaboration of the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • University degree or related professional qualifications with work experience that provides knowledge of, and exposure to, the fundamental theories, principles and concepts of HRM. (Preferably work experience in IT industry).
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law or Professional Qualifications in relevant field of study will be an added advantage.
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resource Management in a middle/senior manager position at a mid-large-scale global organization with a strategic HRM focus.
  • Experience in the field of Modern & Participative Human Resource Management.
  • Make things happen with proven ability to pay attention to detail and near-term issues while also able to see and consider long-term challenges and opportunities.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, hands-on and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to be flexible and agile in approach to work activities and to deal with the unexpected, providing support outside of immediate scope
  • Can juggle a high volume of work and complexity; able to multitask and deliver results.
  • Experience working within a global organization an advantage.
