We are looking for an Assistant Fashion Designer, who will work closely with fashion designers to develop new styles and trends, creating patterns and samples that helps the label grow.

Responsibilities

· Assist and support designing team in creating innovative styles.

· Keep up to date with the current and the latest fashion trends.

· Conduct research and surveys on current fashion trends.

· Know and understand customer preferences on fashion and style trends.

· Coordinate and collaborate with production team in producing quality products.

· Develop and create accurate spec packs and detailed layouts.

· Coordinate with sales, design and production teams.

· Document and preserve all illustrations, detailed layouts, design works and sheets for future references.

· Modify and make changes in design layouts to meet customer standards and tastes.

· Deliver quality samples on time.

· Translate physical measurements of prototypes into proper software programs for future use.

Requirements and skills

· Superior knowledge of fashion design principles

· Proven Experience in a similar role

· Excellent creativity with a good sense of fashion and style

· In-depth knowledge of garment technology

· Ability to create, cut and sew-up patterns

· Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization tools

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong time-management skills

· Excellent attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend only

• Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:
