Description

The Region Manager is in charge of the Monster Business in east territory in India and reports directly to Sales Director.

The Region Manager manages all sales/revenue generating activities and relationships with Bottling Group in order to develop Monster business in the east territory. The main role is to lead Area Sales Manager’s (ASM) in the region and work with bottling group and operating unit leaders in aligning key strategies, KPIs and achieving targets.

The Region Manager will be a leader who can train, lead by example and motivate the bottling group as well as Coca-Cola Organization at all levels to execute the planned activities and deliver the expected results.

The Region Manager also provides leadership on strategic channel best practice pilot i.e. Education, At work/Office, Entertainment, responsible Operating Units and build the model for future national roll out.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Create, build and maintain strategic partnerships with Coke system and Bottling Group in order to grow the Monster Business in the assigned territory.
  • Recruit qualified ASMs based on launch sequence and provide training/immersion.
  • Lead ASMs to build Monster annual Commercial plan with the Bottling Group and Operating Units level.
  • Support ASMs and internal functions in launch preparation for new markets.
  • Conduct regular business review against aligned KPIs with Bottling Group at group and OU level to track performance, identify risk and opportunities and build action plan.
  • Manage sales forecasts and budgets to achieve established goals to deliver profitable growth.
  • Regular joint market survey with ASMs and Bottling Group leaders to track execution in trade and gain consumer insights and competitor activities.
  • Work with internal departments to implement key strategies and activities in Bottling Group territories including brand plan, S&OP, supply chain optimization, value chain negotiation and trade spend management.
  • Manage ASMs in Bottling Group operating units, set KPIs, provide coaching and constructive feedback as development plan.
  • Liase global teams on sales practices and approaches for the region.
  • Work with colleagues on building India training module leveraging “Monster Academy” and lead by example in training module implementation.
  • Provide insights and suggestions to build better tools/incentive plans to improve execution.


Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in beverage or related FMCG business, prefer Coke system experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing or Finance.
  • Demonstrated good track record of achievement in a challenging business environment.
  • Proven knowledge of Beverage or related retail business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with high level corporate leaders and customers; ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses.
  • Able to work independently while being a team player.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
