In this role, the individual will provide end to end legal support as a commercial contracts lawyer including procurement related contracts: reviewing and drafting contracts; advising internal clients on legal issues; coordinating with other stakeholders (e.g., Risk, E&C); and leading negotiations of legal terms.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas :

– Possessing ability to identify legal issues, and implement and develop negotiation strategies to address legal issues in line with firm policies and general legal principles

– Utilizing legal background and extensive knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, as well as the legal principles, liabilities and risks associated with the acquisition of products, services and technology

– With a strong preference for (i) considerable experience at reputable law firm(s) and (ii) experience as in-house counsel, preferably for the Indian subsidiary of a multinational company (or Indian multinational)

– Leading complex negotiations of legal terms, reviewing and drafting contract language, and coordinating the services of outside legal counsel when necessary as it pertains to supporting a commercial transaction

– Managing multiple transactions simultaneously, cross border, and responding to tight timelines

– Writing clear, unambiguous contract terms and coordinating complex written and verbal materials for a diverse audience of internal stakeholders and third party vendors; and

– Communicating clearly and succinctly with all levels of staff across the legal department and within the firm.
