The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Childcare Worker to join our Southeast team in St Joseph’s Childcare Centre Lower Yellow Road, Bally Bricken, Waterford. The post holder will have responsibility to provide quality early childhood care and education to children and to guide and supervise children in a safe and caring environment. Working closely with the Senior Childcare Workers, Managers and the other team members, the Childcare Worker is a key support to specified children and ensures the safety, security and well-being of all children in their care.

Candidate Requirements:
A minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare/Early Years Educator.

Knowledge of Aisteoir, Siolta, Better start programmes and aim.

1 years ‘experience in relevant childcare role.

Good knowledge of underlying principles in early years education.

Desired but not essential:
FETAC Level 6 would be an advantage.

A degree in Early Childcare or Early Years Educator or equivalent.
