We work with our clients to investigate and remediate issues, and transform surveillance functions to prepare for, and respond to, regulation and regulatory scrutiny. We use a wide range of technology tools and analytics techniques in our work, often working with very large data sets and complex surveillance software. What youll do We are currently looking for Associates or Senior Associates with technical expertise and a keen interest in the domain of market abuse and surveillance to join our team. Join us and you’ll get to work alongside leading professionals in Market Abuse and Surveillance, using tools and techniques in the fields of Data Analytics, Algorithm Design and Implementation, Machine Learning and Data Visualisation to assist clients in preventing and detecting market abuse. We Support Our Clients With a Range Of Services Market abuse surveillance implementation and calibration (e.g. detection scenarios, instance identification, parameter setting and tuning, lexicon refinement, model tuning). Data driven surveillance effectiveness review and optimisation. End-to-end data and process flow reviews, supporting surveillance implementations. Surveillance vendor evaluations and support for surveillance strategic roadmaps. Market abuse risk assessments. Development of robust governance structure and procedures. Assistance in responding to regulatory enquiries. In this role, a successful candidate will be expected to work on different client engagements across multinational financial services and commodities clients, using a range of technology tools. The candidate will primarily work alongside colleagues in the UK Market Abuse and Surveillance team and in Kolkata. Required Skills And Experience Our work is technical and successful candidates should be able to evidence experience in at least one of the following areas through previous work experience, personal work projects, or university: Programming or coding experience (for example using SQL/Python) Data analysis and data visualization experience (for example using PowerBI/Alteryx) Data modeling and / or data science Successful candidates should also be able to demonstrate the skills and / or experience of the areas set out below: Ability to clearly articulate technical approaches and complex concepts to clients and non-technical audiences Logical thinking and ability to problem solve An understanding of financial markets and the types of market abuse that may appear An understanding of financial products and their use cases (e.g. equities, FX, commodities, derivatives) A keen interest in regulation and / or technology related to market abuse and surveillance,
