ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position includes the following duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned.

• Interact with diagnostic testing facilities and vendors to understand integration needs and execute on integration projects
• Design and develop interfaces to meet the requirements given constraints such as limited client resources, time deadlines, and technological impediments
• Design and develop interfaces to work in conjunction with the Sunquest Atlas Outerware suite, this requires developing a robust working knowledge of the interaction of interfaces between EMRs, LIS & HIS systems and the Sunquest Atlas Outerware suite
• Analyze and document interface specifications and implementation details as per Sunquest documentation requirements
• Test, deploy, and validate the interfaces
• Provide second and third tier support, as needed, during the regular working hours
• Provide technical support to client projects and to other department employees

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience
• 1- 4 years related work experience; Healthcare IT experience required
• Proficient in HL-7 standards and interface tools
• Familiarity with XML, XSLT, C # is a plus.
• Working experience in any coding language is preferred.
• Familiarity with connectivity methods such as MLLP sockets, FTP and file sharing
• Proficient understanding of physician offices and laboratory systems and workflow
• Working knowledge in MS Excel and MS Word
• The ability to proficiently manage numerous priorities in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to share knowledge with others, to mentor
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills: the ability to analyze and interpret data quickly and efficiently to resolve issues and/or design solutions
