Position description:
- Has developed an intermediate analytical level skillset- – Handles matters related to transactions but does typically handle meetings involving key client contacts- – May be assigned some backup relationship responsibility-
- Under established guidelines and direct management, has the ability to analyze unique, non-routine analytical or business problems in a timely and insightful manner
- Meets with issuers and investors, assists in resolving client needs, interacts on analytical matters with bankers, issuers, and analysts and participates in external meetings related to the credit, as assigned- – Possesses strong interpersonal, communication skills and a customer-service orientation- – Is adept in influencing opinions of others with logical and well balanced arguments-
- Participates in meetings and on-site visits with clients and their representatives as assigned
- Integrates information to assist in the preparation of papers in areas of expertise for publication in S&P journals and other publications and identifies and leads special projects
Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in rating activities and committees, on assigned credits within a portfolio, including assisting in the surveillance of ratings, and demonstrates strong proficiency with Excel
- Works effectively primarily with local markets and jurisdictions in a team-oriented, multi-cultural and environment
- Listens for and identifies new opportunities and involves the appropriate level of management
- Participates in committee as a voting member in adherence to policies, after one year, by assembling data and preparing written and oral presentations to the ratings committee
- May Participate in committee as an observer / presenter in adherence to policies- – Supports analyst in preparation and assembling of data for presentation to rating committee
- Possesses an understanding of financial markets and business environment and the relationship to S&P products
- Makes recommendations to the rating committee and prepares material for ratings publication
- Supports analyst in preparing material for ratings publication
- Listens for and identifies new opportunities and involves the appropriate level of management
