Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.
About the team: Paytm payment gateway enables thousands of online merchants to offer world class frictionless payment experience to their customers. We are present across large enterprises and startups including well known unicorns alike. We strive to take payments beyond an enabler and an instrument to drive revenue and user growth for our merchants. Online Payment Gateway is Paytm’s B2B Business regulated by RBI as it allows only authorized entities to conduct PA PG (Payment Aggregator Payment Gateway) business. This team is responsible for growing the penetration of Paytm’s PA PG business in the Indian merchants.
About the role:The Strategic Alliances within Paytm is a partner-focused organization that provides service and creates innovative solutions. Strategic Alliances partners with the Educational Institutions i.e. Schools/Colleges/Universities in the East territory (WB+North East+Bihar+Jharkhand) with a Market Penetration to grow their businesses using our portfolio of payment and other business products including Payment Gateway, Payment Links, Payment Pages, Payment Analytics, Paytm Mini Apps, etc.
Expectations/ Requirements
  • Manage relationships with Educational Institutions i.e. Schools/Colleges/Universities partners/merchants to drive business growth
  • Build trusted and strategic relationships with partners and develop a thorough understanding of their business challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Promote new products or features that will have a positive impact on partner relationships
  • Build sustainable businesses and provide an excellent partner experience
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e., Leadership, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing teams)
  • Experience developing partnership agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performance
  • Experience in managing relationships with Educational Institutions i.e. Schools/Colleges/Universities partners/merchants to drive Active merchant and Revenue growth
  • A creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture
  • Track Program/Project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Be a brand ambassador for Paytm – Stay Hungry, Stay Humble, Stay Relevant!

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Practical experience in the Educational Institutions i.e. Schools/Colleges/Universities partners/merchants space (5+ Years)
  • Ability to understand payment products such and consumer journeys
  • Ability to analyze complex business metrics and infer their impact on business growth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of drive, initiative, and self-motivation
  • Growth Mindset
  • Customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
